I just started a Meetup.com group for Denver Urban Homesteaders to get together and share knowledge, perhaps even helping each other out in the garden. We have experienced homesteaders and newbies like myself so feel free to join no matter how familar you are with the best way to face your chicken coop or how to get a bumper crop of pole beans!

Funny. I was just thinking about homesteading whilst driving to work yesterday–it was freezing out and I whispered a small note of thanks that I didn’t have to worry about getting the oxen in the barn that evening. And then this!

I’d love to raise chickens. Perhaps this year’s the year.
