It depends on what they're saying. I know you said non-judgmentally, but is it ever possible to perceive and not make judgements? If someone was telling you about the time they tied a firecracker to a kitten's tail... you would just sit there and "be in the spirit of loving" or whatever else people say? Maybe I'm just not that evolved yet, but for me it depends on what is being said.
